'Streetcar' takes Broadhurst
The multiracial revival of "A Streetcar Named Desire" will arrive on Broadway within the Broadhurst Theater, the venue recently left open with the last-minute cancellation of latest tuner "Rebecca." "Streetcar," toplined by Blair Underwood and Nicole Ari Parker, remains circling the Rialto for many days combined with introduced a spring opening right before nailing lower a theater. No matter the deluge of producers clamoring for your Broadhurst -- one of the prime houses possessed by Shubert Organization -- the ready-to-mobilize "Streetcar" was gone after the mind from the line. Lead producer of "Streetcar," Stephen Byrd, also was behind the all-black revival of Williams' "Cat around the Hot Container Roof," which shown a box office success round the Rialto in 2008 and ongoing with a work on free air travel Finish.
